How To Create Multi-Level Chart of Account

Creating a multi-level chart of account is essential for organizing and categorizing financial transactions in a structured manner. It allows you to break down your accounts into different levels, providing a detailed and clear hierarchy of your financial data. 



Learn How To

  1. Create a parent code
  2. Create a child code



1. Click on Accounting and select Chart of Account

Click on Accounting and select Chart of Account



2. Click on Add New

Click on Add New



3. Enter name

4. Enter a description

Enter a description



5. Select an account type



6. Leave the parent code empty

(To create a child COA, the parent code must not have any figures in the journal)

7. Enter code

Click on Code



8. Click on Save

9. Click on Add New to add another COA

10. Fill in the details

11. Select the COA you have made previously as the parent code
