How to Record a Customer's Credit Balance (New Vers.)

Scenario 

  • You owned a drink company and you are having a promotion on the customer's member credit.

  • Promotion stated customer have to pay RM600 to become a member as the RM600 will turn into credit points, plus your company will be giving out RM400 credit points to whoever signed up for the promotion. 

  • A customer named Jason is getting his member credit. 

  • The deal for the credit is showed as below.



1. Click on Cashflow and select 'Wallets'

2. Click on Add New

3. Enter a name

4. Fill in the type, payment method and account type

6. Click on Accounting and select 'Journals'

7. Click on Add New

8. Enter a description

Type "Top up Jason's Account"



9. Fill in the details

Example:

Bank (Debit) - RM 600

Cash Voucher (Debit) - RM 400

Jason (Credit) - RM 1000

Fill in the details



10. Click on Save

11. Click on Sales and select 'Sales Invoices'

12. Click on Add New and select Sales Invoices

13. Enter in the details

14. Click on Save

15. Click on the three-dot menu and select 'Add Payment'

16. Enter the payment amount

17. Choose "Jason" as the payment method

18. Click on Save

19. In the Wallets page, click on the three-dot menu and select 'View Statement'

20. If you check in "Jason Wallet Statement", you can see that Jason still has an outstanding of RM880 unused.
